Clinics & Outreach
David is passionate about identifying and nurturing talent in young musicians. He is available to work with students wherever music is taught:
Clinic: Two-hour class in which David will work with your students on a variety of fundamental skills with an emphasis on tone production and intonation. Students can also perform and benefit from his constructive evaluation and instruction. He teaches with violin in-hand and readily demonstrates the technical and artistic concepts that are discussed.
Residency: David will become a part of your group for a period of time ranging from 2 days to a week. In addition to the presentation of clinics as described above, he will employ a powerful instructional tool known as modeling, where he’ll sit among the students in the orchestra, teaching by demonstration. They’ll be able to observe and absorb the ways in which a virtuoso violinist applies basic fundamentals of technique and artistry while performing alongside them in their own orchestra.
